Calamos Investments Financial Center was designed as a state-of-the-art financial services company headquarters. The 194,000 square foot, seven-story structural steel building features a cable-supported glass entry and raised access floors. The development also includes a two-story, structural steel frame annex building, providing dining areas and a conference center for employees and guests. A two-story, pre-stressed, precast parking structure offers space for 613 vehicles with one below-grade level connected to the main office building via tunnel for easy vehicle and pedestrian access.
The building is a testament to Calamos Investments’ ongoing commitment to the environment. The building’s green roof, use of natural light, stormwater retention system, and erosion control features made it one of the first privately developed buildings in the Chicago area to be registered with the USGBC for LEED certification.
